Dr. Christopher Clarke is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 30 years of environmental experience. He is CDA’s Consultancy Lead and Project Manager for the Greening KSA Project, providing scientific and technical support for the Saudi Green Initiative. Before working at KAUST he managed environmental consultancies in Oman and Mauritania, one of these as founding director. Specialties include nature conservation, environmental impact assessment, air quality assessments, plant palettes for landscaping, habitat restoration, environmental law, cultural heritage, and social impact

assessments. Formerly a specialist in birds of Ecuador and Peru, he has moved on to botanical surveys in the Middle East. He has carried out environmental surveys in Ecuador, Peru, Mauritania, Lesotho, Oman, Sudan, Qatar, UK and Saudi Arabia.
